Mr. Beam is a design studio and production house for immersive experiences, digital art installations and AV productions.
In 2026 we redesigned and rebuilt the existing website together with Mr. Beam. Design by Atypisch, in close collaboration with their own team. Development on a custom WordPress install with a project filter, homepage video slider and a fully modular CMS.
The brief was an update, not a reboot from zero. Keep the energy of the work. Make the archive easier to navigate. Give editors blocks that match how installations are actually documented.

01 / 06 Video and stills first. The work leads.

Mr. Beam ships a lot of projects across spaces and formats. The archive needed a custom filter and layouts that still feel like the room the work lived in.

03 / 06 Homepage states for the video slider.

04 / 06 Still frames that hold when motion pauses.
Key visual
05 / 06 Immersive work needs width. Full-bleed slides carry the installations.

06 / 06 Same archive on a phone. Filter and project cards stay usable on site visits.
An update of a living site, designed with the people who make the work. Not a template dropped on top of a portfolio.
