Mr. Beam makes immersive experiences, digital art installations and AV productions. Their site already carried years of work. In 2026 we redesigned it with them.
This was a project update, not a greenfield build. The archive had to stay. The energy of the installations had to stay. What needed to change was structure, motion and the way editors publish new cases.
Design was done by Atypisch in collaboration with Mr. Beam themselves. Their eye for rooms, light and timing. Our system for filters, modular blocks and a homepage that can hold video without falling apart on mobile.
What changed
The homepage leads with work again. A video slider sets the pace. The project archive got a custom filter so visitors can move through formats and spaces without drowning in a flat list.
Case pages run on modular WordPress blocks. Editors document an installation the way it was experienced: stills, sequences, short notes. No fighting a rigid template every time a project looks different.
Built to keep shipping
Mr. Beam does not pause production for a redesign. The new site had to launch while new work kept landing. We rebuilt on a custom WordPress install, kept URLs sane, and handed over a CMS that matches how the studio already talks about its projects.
If you want the full case, including screens and the collaboration notes, it lives on the Mr. Beam project page.
